USS Charles Ausburne (DD-570) taking on supplies, 1944
Here we see the Fletcher class destroyer USS Charles Ausburne (DD-570) taking on supplies at the Mare Island Navy Base on 27 September 1944. This was at the end of an overhaul that had followed the invasion of the Marianas. A number of changes are circled, including what looks to be a new antenna, an extra life boat and more anti-submarine weapons.
