USS Cassin Young (DD-793), Newport RI, 1958
Here we see the Fletcher class destroyer USS Cassin Young (DD-793) off Newport, Rhode Island on 14 October 1958, with new SPS28 search radar that was installed in a post-war refit. She has also been given a tripod mast, and the 40mm AA guns in front of the bridge have been replaced with more modern weapons.
