USS Caperton (DD-65) from USS Yorktown, 1953
Here we see the Fletcher class destroyer USS Caperton (DD-650) as she was pulling up alongside the carrier USS Yorktown (CVA-10) at sea on 21 September 1953. This would have been towards the end of the Caperton's second tour of duty off Korea, as she departed for the Philippines on 9 October 1953.
