USS Bristol (DD-453) refueling from USS Brooklyn (CL-40) off Sicily
Here we see the Gleaves class destroyer USS Bristol (DD-453) refueling from the light cruiser USS Brooklyn (CL-40) off Licata, Sicily, in July 1943. Although destroyers had become much larger over time, the Bristol is still rather overshadowed by the Brooklyn.
