USS Borie (DD-704) refueling from USS Intrepid, 1966
Here we see the Allen M Sumner destroyer USS Borie (DD-704) refueling from the carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) on 20 February 1966. This picture gives a really good idea of the difference in scale betwee the carriers and destroyers, with only the destroyer's mast even reaching the level of the flight deck.
