USS Blue (DD-387) and USS Ralph Talbot (DD-390) , Mare Island Navy Yard, 1942
Here we see the Bagley class destroyers USS Blue (DD-387) and USS Ralph Talbot (DD-390) at the Mare Island Navy Yard on 11 April 1942. They have recently had new 20mm anti-aircraft guns installed in the circular platforms between the bridge and the forward guns. Further back we get a good view of their four quad torpedo tubes, the heaviest torpedo armament ever carried on a US destroyer.
