USS Aylwin (DD-355) at Philadelphia, 1935
Here we see the Farragut class destroyer USS Aylwin (DD-355) off the Philadelphia Navy Yard on 24 April 1935, only a few weeks after she had been commissioned at the same port. From this angle we can see all of her main armament - the superfiring guns fore and aft and fifth main gun behind the rear funnel, and the two quad torpedo tubes between the funnel and the rear superstructure. Note that the forward guns have shields but the other three don't.
