Survivors from U-625, 10 March 1944
Here we see some survivors from U-625, after their U-boat was sunk by depth charges on 10 March 1944. The attack was carried out by Sunderland Mk.III EK591 'U' of No.422 Squadron, RCAF. Tragically there were no survivors from U-625, as a storm hit on the night after the submarine was sunk, and none of the initial survivors were found.
