Grumman TBM Avengers over Japan
Here we see a formation of TBM Avengers somewhere over Japan late in the Second World War, when US carrier aircraft joined the B-29s in the massive air attack on the Japanese Home Islands. The upperward pointing arrow on the tail suggests they were from the carrier Bunker Hill (CV-17) which took part in attacks on the Home Islands in the spring of 1945.
