RAF Ground Crew on ferry before Dragoon
Here we see a large group of RAF ground crew waiting on a ferry in an Italian port, ready to move onto the transport ship that was going to take them to the south of France to take part in Operation Dragoon. The original wartime caption called this a tank landing-craft, but the very distinctive shape of the supports for the ramp don't match any type I've been able to find, and the sides look to be rather low for anything meant to cross open water, suggesting that this was some sort of harbour ferry.
