Republic P-47N Thunderbolt from the Right
Here we see Republic P-47N-5-RE 44-88404 from the right. This aircraft has the bubble canopy introduced on the P-47D to improve the pilot's view and the extended fin above the rear fuselage. This aircraft served with the Training Command and was lost in 1947 after a mid-air collision with a B-29.
