Here we see two New Zealand orderlies bringing in a wounded soldier during the fighting on Castle Hill at Cassino Town. The hill fell to the Allies during the Third Battle of Cassino (15-22 March 1945), but the New Zealanders also attacked in the same area during the Second Battle of Cassino (15-18 February 1945). Note the Sherman tank just to the right of the leading soldier.
