Naval Aircraft Factory PT-1 from Below
Here we see a Naval Aircraft Factory PT-1 torpedo bomber during a during a naval torpedo exercise in the early 1920s. Although most of the details of the aircraft are lost in this picture, we can see the struts connnecting the upper and lower wings, the twin floats and the rather exposed engine installation. The PT-1 was constructed from a range of spare parts from earlier, mainly Curtiss, aircraft.
