M7B1 105mm Howitzer Motor Carriage 'Priest' at Bastogne
Here we see a M7B1 105mm Howitzer Motor Carriage 'Priest' supporting the 101st Airborne Division during the fighting at Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge. The M7B1 was based on the chassis of the M4A3 Sherman tank, and had a one piece cast nose. The earlier M7 was based on the M3 Medium Tank and normally had a three piece bolted nose.
