M36 90mm Gun Motor Carriage in Munich, April 1945
Here we see an M36 90mm Gun Motor Carriage in Munich, soon after American troops entered the city on 29 April 1945. The M36 can be identified by the slope of the side armour combined with the long gun with muzzle break. Note the bar that has been installed across the nose to support sandbag armour. This was installed to protect against hand-held anti-tank weapons.
