M36 90mm GMC of US 3rd Armoured Division, Lemgo
This column of armoured vehicles from the US 3rd Armoured Division is being led by a M36 90mm Gun Motor Carriage as it passes through Lemgo, Westphalia. The M36 can be difficult to tell apart from the M10 when seen from the front, as they both used the same hull. This M36 can be identified by the shape of the mantlet, with a curve above the gun, and by looking at the muzzle - the 90mm gun on the muzzle could carry a muzzle brake, but if that wasn't present a cover was installed to protect the screw fitting. That cover can just be made out on this picture, both as a slight bulge at the end of the gun and as a change of colour on the end of the barrel.
