Australian LP-2 Armoured Car

Australian LP-2 Armoured Car
This picture shows the two LP-2 Armoured Cars produced in Australia. These Local Pattern vehicles followed an unsuccesful LP-1 and were the precursor to a small production run of LP-3s and LP-4s. Both of these vehicles were part of the No.1 Armoured Car Regiment when this picture was taken (note the label on the front right of the leading car). DD-221 and DD-222 used different engines (the first was based on Ford equipment, the second on Chevrolet). The two vehicles are seen during wartime training in Australia.
