HMS Venerable
HMS Venerable, a London class battleship, launched in 1899. This picture shows the mixed armament. The forward 12in turret is clearly visible, although the guns themselves are hidden. The rear 12in turret is obscured, but one of the guns can be seen under the awning. In the middle of the ship are the smaller guns. Two of the 6in quick firing guns can be made out below the first turret, while a row of 12pdrs is visible running under the second funnel
