North American F-6K Mustang
Here we see a North American F-6K Mustang, the photo reconnaissance version of the P-51K. This is aircraft 44-11907, which served with the 5th Air Force in the Pacific and was written off after a landing accident in Japan in 1946. The P-51K was very similar to the P-51D, but was produced at North American's Dallas, Texas factory, originally with a different propeller.
