Lockheed C-69 Constellation from the Left
Here we see one of the small number of Lockheed C-69 Constellations that served with the USAAF during the Second World War. Nine were taken from an existing order for airliners for TWA, the rest from a large order for a fully military version that was cancelled after only a handful had been completed. Note the somewhat hunched fuselage and the triple tail.
