Formation of B-29 Superfortresses heading to Japan
Here we see a formation of Boeing B-29 Superfortresses heading towards Japan. The tail markings of an A over a square makes them aircraft of the 497th Bombardment Group of the 73rd Bombardment Wing, based on the Mariana Islands.
