Here we see two solid nosed North American B-25Js of the 491st Bombardment Squadron, probably at their base at Yangkai in China. Both aircraft have their turrets and cockpits under cover to protect them from damage in what looks like a rather dusty environment.
These pictures come from the collection of Sydney Lester, who served as a Staff Sergeant in the 491st Bombardment Squadron (341st Bombardment Group). Many thanks to his son Ron Lester for providing us with this pictures.
