Boeing B-17s with bomb bay open
Here we see two Boeing B-17s with their bomb bay open, showing how short it was compared to the size of the aircraft. These aircraft are probably B-17Es or B-17Fs, both of which had the ball turret below and no chin turret. However the details of the nose aren't clear enough to tell exactly which model this is.
