B-17G 'Ladies Delight', 457th Bombardment Group

Here we see B-17G 'Ladies Delight', serial number 44-6904 (making it a B-17G-70). This picture was taken during a post-war trip that gave non-flight crews the chance to see the damage the 8th Air Force had inflicted on Germany (possibly as part of a post-war photographic survey of Germany). The 'Ladies Delight' served with the 457th Bombardment Group, then based at Glatton in England, although soon to return to the US.

Pictures provided by Sgt. Robert S. Tucker Sr. (Member of: The American Air Museum in Britain {Duxford} ).
