Here we see the men of No.881 Squadron, Fleet Air Arm, at Hatson on Orkney early in 1943. The squadron spent most of 1942 at sea, taking part in the invasion of Madagascar, but returned to the Scotland in two batchs, one late in 1942 and one early in 1943. After a brief break in Scotland the squadron soon returned to sea on HMS Furious.
