6th South African Armoured Division Victory Parade, Monza
Here we see Commodore F. C. Sturrock, acting Minister of Defence in South Africa, taking the salute as the entire 6th South African Armoured Division marched past at a victory parade at Monza Race Track near Milan. Before the parade General Mark Clark handed out a number of decorations, including giving General Poole, commander of the division, the American Legion of Merit.
