6-pounder Anti-Tank Gun, Sant' Angelo
Here we see a British 6-pounder anti-tank gun emplaced in the ruins of a school in Sant' Angelo, on the west bank of the Gari/ Rapido River. The village fell to the British during the fourth battle of Cassino, after being successfully defended by the Germans during the earlier battle of the Rapido.
