Lockheed Hudson of No.500 Squadron on return from Corsica

This picture shows a Lockheed Hudson of No.500 Squadron that had just returned from Ghisonaccia on Corsica, where it became the first Allied aircraft to land on the airfield.

This picture was sent to us by Andrew Bennet. His father, Frederick Arthur Bennett, was on the flight and can be seen seated with arms crossed just to the right of the flag.
