This photograph from the the 321st Bombardment Group's post-war 'Headlines' pamphlet shows the senior officers associated with the 321st towards the end of the war - Lt Col Cassidy took over early in 1945.
From left to right we see:
Lt Col Charles F. Cassidy Jr: CO 321st
Brig. Gen. Robert D. Knapp: C.O. 57th Wing (and the original commander of the group when it entered combat in Tunisia).
Lt. Col. Paul T Cooper: C.O. 446th Squadron
Major Thomas C. Bounds: former C.O. 445th Squadron
Major General John K. Cannon: Commander, 12th Air Force
Major Marshall C. Strenger: C.O. 447th Squadron
Major Harold S. Farwell: C.O. 448th Squadron
This document comes from a pamphlet produced by the 321st Bombardment Group after the war, which told the story of the group's activities from 15 March 1943-15 March 1945 in the form of a newspaper.
