321st B.G. Headlines page 7 - 17 August 1943
Page seven of the 321st Bombardment Group's post-war 'Headlines' pamphlet covers the end of the Sicilian campaign, and the introduction of the B-25G, armed with a 75mm cannon and used to fill a dedicated 'gun squadron' within the group. After the war the authors were willing to admit that the B-25G had been an unknown quantity when first introduced, with a risk of very high losses. Also note the report of a visit by Bob Hope to the 321st's base.

This document comes from a pamphlet produced by the 321st Bombardment Group after the war, which told the story of the group's activities from 15 March 1943-15 March 1945 in the form of a newspaper.

Many thanks to Christine Stewart for sending us this document, which came from the collection of her father in law Eugene W. Stewart, a staff sergeant in transportation with the 321st Bombardment Group.
