Machine Gun Section, 11th Hussars, Zillebeke Winter 1914-15

 

Here we see the a Machine Gun section of the 11th Hussars in the trenches near Zillebeke during the winter of 1914-15. Note the machine gun under maintainance in the background and the simple nature of the trenches, with earth banks with no reinforcement.
