This clickable map shows the battles during the Allied invasion of France of 1814, Napoleon's last great performance as a general. As his route demonstrates, Napoleon's successes during this campaign were largely due to his ability to appear at entirely unexpected locations. Despite these efforts, eventually the Allied armies got past him, and Napoleon was unable to take part in the defence of Paris.
